Had lunch there today and have to say the food was fantastic and extremely good value. The same, however cannot be said for the service. To begin with it was fine, but after 30 minutes of waiting for our table to be cleared and offered dessert we decided we would just leave and asked for the bill. We were then told that we had to pay at the cash desk at the front of the restaurant. Very disappointing service.

Attended the jazz night last Friday evening,I was pleasantly surprised and very impressed with the whole set-up and will definitely be going back. The staff were courteous, the food was very nice and along with the music this all bode for an excellent evening. The view from the centre was outstanding as the night set in and the reflections from the lights in the centre onto the still waters of the river wear was worth the entrance fee alone for the evening itself.I gather the centre is gaining a reputation for its jazz evening but the majority of people in Sunderland will not know we have somewhere as classy as this -why bother with Newcastle ?
