Hotel handyman Skeeter Bronson may not be the huge success he always hoped to be, but he is devoted to his sister Wendy and her two adorable kids, Patrick and Bobbi. The imaginative uncle agrees to tell the youngsters bedtime stories to help them drift off to sleep, inventing tall tales full of magic, mystery and daring deeds. When elements from these stories, suggested by the tykes, unexpectedly impact on real life, Skeeter realises that his fairy-tales are coming true and he embarks on the adventure of a lifetime with the two excited youngters.
